Stream Live Across Platforms with Filmo: A Quick Guide

Stream Live Across Platforms with Filmo: A Quick Guide

Filmo enables you to broadcast your live show across multiple platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Youtube. To stream your event on multiple platforms simultaneously, you'll need to enter your stream keys into Filmo before going live. Finding your stream keys is simple; here's how you can do it.

What is a Stream Key?

A stream key functions like a password, linking your live streaming software, such as Filmo, to a video-sharing platform like YouTube. By entering this key into your software, you authenticate your identity, allowing the platform to start your live stream. Keep your stream keys secret, because anyone with them can stream on your account!

How to Get an Instagram Stream Key

  1. Log in to your Instagram professional account on a computer.

  2. Click the create button (plus sign) and choose Live Video.

  3. Add a title and select your audience.

  4. Copy and paste the stream key or server URL into your streaming software's settings. Note: Your stream key is only valid for your current stream. Once you start your stream from the encoder, you'll have up to five hours to go live on Instagram.

  5. Start your live stream from Filmo. When you've successfully connected to Instagram Live, you'll see a preview of your stream. Note: Until a valid stream from your streaming software is detected, you won't be able to start your live stream.
